Boeing forecasts that the global aviation industry will need nearly 2.4 million new professionals over the next 20 years.
Out of this, approximately 660,000 new commercial pilots will be required worldwide.
The demand is driven primarily by pilot retirements (two-thirds of the need) and fleet expansion (one-third of the need).
The regions with the highest demand will be Eurasia, China, and North America, while South Asia and Southeast Asia are projected to grow at the fastest rate.

CAE projects that the industry will need about 267,000 new commercial pilots worldwide in the next 10 years.
In addition, 33,000 new business aviation pilots will also be required.
